Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

Old Fashion Christmas Ornament

Red, Green with gold or silver is the colour theme of this week's Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge and there is a great prize for one lucky winner of this challenge from Fred, She Said Designs.

I decided to use this cute Santa image from Fred called Little Fat Santa and make an old fashion Christmas Ornament.  I used an empty ribbon spool that I spray painted red then added gold and green glitter paper, red pompoms, and a two gold bells.  I after I had finished the background I added by fat Santa which I coloured with Copic Markers and added Polar White Flower Soft to Santa's jacket and Hat.  Did you ever make one of these ornament when you were young?

Come join us at Holly Jolly this week. Pop over to their challenge blog and see the cards that the rest of the design team have created to inspire you.
