Telescope Card

A Yahoo group I belong to has a monthly card swap and this month's challenge is to make a card that is different from your normal  card style.  I chose to make a telescope card for this swap.   I also decided to use my newly purchased Brusho coloured crystals to colour my flowers, butterfly and background.

Here is my telescope card folded up.

Another view of the card

Some of the products I used to make my card are:

Brusho crystals
Sentiment stamp by Hero Arts
Flower and Butterfly stamps and dies by Hero Arts

It has been a long time since I made and telescope card.  It was fun to make.  Thank you for stopping to take a look.

Our Story Tag

I made this tag for an upcoming tag exchange at Inky Fun Stampers Yahoo group.  The theme of the exchange is to create a tag using a book page in the design.

I made most of my tag from my stash of pieces of dies previously cut. The lady is a rubber stamp from the collection of unmounted stamps.  I do not remember the maker of the stamp but I have had it in my collection for many years. The numbers are bottle cap inserts and I used a key for the center of my tag.  I also used brads and several colours of Distress inks.  It was fun putting my collage together.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a very creative week.

      Altered Tin Box

This is my finished project for this month's Altered Eclectics challenge.

This is the garage sale tin box I started with

      Top

      Sides

      Back

I layered my tin with scrapbook paper, and cut out dies then I started adding all of my elements which included old lace, buttons, bottle caps, old and broken jewelry, bits and pieces from my sewing basket and anything else I could find that I thought would look interesting.

Once I have my findings added to my box I coloured the entire box in black gesso.  I think I am going to try this process again with white gesso.  Once the gesso dried I sprayed the box with several colours of ink sprays then came back with some white gesso and lightened up some of the areas.

I love how the box turned out.  It was a lot of fun to make and I think I will try a different variation of the same technique.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.    Hope you will join us this month at Altered Eclectics.  Pop over to our challenge blog to see the wonderful projects of the design team.
